This course will prepare student for a career as a visual artist or as an artist in another creative field by studying practical and theoretical courses developed in conjunction with the arts industry.Designed for emerging artists, this program builds on specialised technical, creative and conceptual skills to develop arts practice, so student can plan and realise a body of work in one or more art forms. Students will develop a sound grasp of art theory and history, the ability to critically analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources, and a familiarity with ways of communicating complex ideas. The Diplomas structure emphasises multidisciplinary arts practice, spanning: art business, art theory, digital imaging, drawing , painting, printmaking, public art, sculpture.

In this course the major studies include technical, creative and conceptual skills to develop arts practice . In this course the student will develop a sound grasp of art theory and history, the ability to critically analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources, and a familiarity with ways of communicating complex ideas.
Students will have the knowledge and confidence to shape future as a self-employed art practitioner, as a paid employee in the visual art and crafts industry, or as a high-level support staff member in an arts-related industry. Students can choose to pursue further study or undertake work in a multitude of arts-related industries, like gallery or museum work, community arts or as an art practitioner.
2 years full-time or 4 years part-time.International student visa holders can only study full-time.
