In this course the major studies include research disciplines like animation and interactive media, photography, creative writing, multimedia, screenwriting and film and television production.

One of the following: Successful completion of an Australian Masters by Research degree or equivalent, Successful completion of an Australian Masters by Coursework degree or equivalent WITH a research component graded as a distinction (GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00), Successful completion of an Australian Bachelor (Honours) degree graded as first or second class (over 70% or GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00). Entry into a Research program at RMIT is not based solely on academic achievement and applicants must meet the following minimum academic requirements to be considered for candidature.

This course is recognised internationally and in Australia through accreditation by professional organisations.

Graduates will be qualified to begin work as an academic or develop professional career in media and creative media.
