This Doctoral program is ideal for industry technologists, designers, merchandisers and marketers wanting to do original research in the disciplines offered by our School of Fashion and Textiles. Our research supervisors expertise along with our resources and collaborative relationships with industry and other research organisations has led to the evolution of several specific research fields, namely: advanced technology, performance and sports apparel textiles, textile design, fashion and merchandising, sustainability.

In this course the graduates study the basic knowledge of fashion and textiles and hence they do research study on advanced technology, performance and sports apparel textiles, textile design, fashion and merchandising.
All Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) applicants must have at least one of the following: Bachelor degree with first or upper second class Honours, Master degree by research, Master degree by coursework that includes a research component of at least 1 semester in duration graded as Distinction or above, Such other qualifications or experience as considered to be appropriate or Masters coursework.
After completing graduation graduates get accredited from the Textile Institute UK for globally recognised professional qualifications like FTI, ATI and LTI.
4 years full-time or 8 years part-time.International student visa holders can only study full-time.
