This mechanical engineering and industrial design program gives the technical and creative skills to engage at a professional level with the design and development of advanced manufactured products. Industrial design links industry and economy with people, culture, society and environment, and mechanical engineering involves the conversion and control of energy and motion in machinery and systems.
Higher Mathematics or VCE Units 3 and 4 Mathematics (any).
In this course the major studies include development of technical and creative skills to engage at a professional level with the design and development of advanced manufactured products.
Student must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 70%.For information on international qualifications and corresponding entry requirements that are equivalent to an Australian Year 12, see the Entry requirements by country web page. Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.
Graduates of this program will be eligible for graduate membership of Engineers Australia.
