This program prepares graduates to tackle business problems in the global marketplace and understand the complex world of logistics, supply chain and trade industries. Student must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 75%. Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.
On successful completion of the program, graduates will be eligible for membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA). CILTA is part of a worldwide and prestigious membership network that will create new opportunities for graduates in Australia and overseas.Also supporting the program is the Logistics Association of Australia. Members of these associations provide employment opportunities for students during the cooperative education program in third year.
Student will be employed in all aspects of logistics and supply chain management operations and also work closely with other company managers in marketing, manufacturing and engineering. Student will be responsible for the effective and efficient integration of all logistics activities supported by the application of relevant IT and e-business practices. Most graduates pursue management/administrative careers in companies that operate in various transport modes like air, sea, road and rail, and in companies that specialise in purchasing, supply chain management, contract distribution, manufacturing and retailing.
