RMITs Master of Strategic Procurement is the only postgraduate program of its kind in Victoria. It will position student as leading procurement role and become a master of strategic planning, supplier relationship management and creative innovation. In this course Student will learn to deliver high returns while successfully aligning procurement with a public or private organization’s triple bottom line. As a qualified strategic procurement specialist student will produce cost and service efficiencies for commercial advantage, apply knowledge in market analysis, strategic sourcing, category management, organizational behavior, business performance and spend analysis, make decisions in the context of long-term environmental and social trends associated with strategic sourcing.
Applicants may be considered based on work experience and any additional tertiary education.
In this course the major studies include production of cost and service efficiencies for commercial advantage, apply knowledge in market analysis, strategic sourcing, category management, organizational behavior, business performance and spend analysis, make decisions in the context of long-term environmental and social trends associated with strategic sourcing.
Completion of an Australian bachelor degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum 50% average/Pass or GPA 1.0 (out of 4.0).
Graduates of this program are recognized by the Australasian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC).
Graduates can expect to find work in: local and state government departments, medium to large enterprises and private sector organizations. Roles can include: senior appointments in supply and distribution management, purchasing, and logistics management , policy and planning management, strategic management and organization analysis. Due to the rapid growth in the procurement industry, managers and executives with Master level qualifications are in high demand.
1.5 years full-time or 3 years part-time (with advanced standing), 2 years full-time or 4 years part
