In this course student will develop analytical and problem-solving skills in geospatial science by doing an original research project supervised by an RMIT staff member with related expertise. We offer a wide range of research areas within geoscience including: geodesy, surveying, GPS, remote sensing, GIScience, cartography and geographical visualisation, the application of geospatial science methods and technologies. Whether student is doing research at the Master by research or PhD level, project will consist of: a literature review , the development of research questions, a critical analysis of data, designing research methodology and techniques, research carried out independently.

Development of analytical and problem-solving skills in geospatial science by doing an original research is studied as major concept. Entry into a Research program at RMIT is not based solely on academic achievement and applicants must meet the following minimum academic requirements to be considered for candidature.
