This program will provide with a broad knowledge of all aspects of media, and put in a strong position to pursue career goals.Student will learn how to analyse media products in the broader historical, critical and cultural context. In the core professional stream, Student will learn all facets of the production process - writing, scripting, shooting, sound and image recording and editing, broadcasting and publishing. Graduates are creative thinkers and problem-solvers employed across a wide range of industry sectors. The programs distinctive integration of professional training and academic study exposes to all facets of production, as well as teaching to analyze media products in broader historical, critical and cultural contexts.

In this course development of broad knowledge of all aspects of media, writing, scripting, shooting, sound and image recording and editing, broadcasting and publishing is studied and analyzing media products in broader historical, critical and cultural contexts is also involved.
Student must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 70%.For information on international qualifications and corresponding entry requirements that are equivalent to an Australian Year 12, see the Entry requirements by country web page. Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.
Students are encouraged to become members of professional associations concerned with their areas of study. Association membership for students is often heavily discounted and may provide: opportunities for networking; conferences on topical issues providing local and international perspectives; research on areas of practice, quality and innovation; interest groups in specific areas of industry, regular journals and other publications; access to current salary information based on surveys conducted by the association; advice on workplace agreements; events offering professional development and ongoing learning, scholarships, awards and prizes; further study (including short courses, professional accreditation programs, or postgraduate qualifications).
Graduates can get employment in Australia and overseas in: the film and television industry, public and commercial radio, internet and mobile media, screen culture, journalism, marketing, publishing, academia, the music and games industries, the government sector.
3 years full time or 6 years part time, International student visa holders can only study full-time.
