In this course student’s will be trained for production roles in: audio engineering, event management, technical direction, vision switching, camera operation, projection and lighting operation, design and installation for: television broadcasters, event production companies, universities and schools, infrastructure designers and installers.

Student must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 50%. For information on international qualifications and corresponding entry requirements that are equivalent to an Australian Year 12, see the Entry requirements by country web page.Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary Diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.
We have a strong industry advisory group that meets regularly to ensure that our programs remain current.
Student will be well placed for production roles in:staging and event production, broadcast television, broadcast radio, audiovisual equipment hire and staging, audiovisual systems design, audiovisual installation including home theatre, corporate video production, education AV support, theatre, multimedia, film production, hotel audiovisual production and operation, audiovisual production, audiovisual equipment operation.Our past graduates have been employed by organisations like the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Victorian Arts Centre (audio and staging departments) and broadcast television networks.
