The Bachelor of Applied Science (MRS) Diagnostic Radiography prepares graduates for clinical practice as diagnostic radiographers. Graduates of the course are eligible to apply for registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. Diagnostic radiographers work closely with radiologists to employ a range of technologies, according to the information provided in a medical practitioner's request, to create images that can help to provide an accurate diagnosis. They work closely with cardiologists in imaging heart disease, with surgeons during a range of operations, and with emergency doctors in the emergency room.
