Psychology explores the science of the mind and human nature. Student will examine mental states and processes and how they affect human behavior. Student will also gain strong theoretical and practical skills.

Major studies includes human personality, behaviour, emotion, underlying mental processes and the factors that lead people to differ in the way they think and behave and interrelationships between, biological, developmental, social, cognitive, and developmental factors .
Student must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 65%.For information on international qualifications and corresponding entry requirements that are equivalent to an Australian Year 12, see the Entry requirements by country web page.Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.
The psychology major in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) is a partial requirement for membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). It is also a partial requirement for registration as a psychologist with the Victorian Psychologists Registration Board, subject to further study or clinical practice.This program has been accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council until 2012, at which time RMIT will reapply for further accreditation for another full 5 years.RMIT has been accredited to deliver psychology programs for 3 decades.
Student gets employment in organizational management, health, sport, cross-cultural studies, counseling, HR, with people with disabilities, research, training, market research and, with further study, teaching.
3 years full-time, International student visa holders can only study full-time.
