In this course student will learn about exercise prescription, management and reconditioning, sport science and coaching, exercise for health and disability and community physical recreation. Our staff are actively engaged with exercise and sport science, strongly connected to industry and deliver student-centred learning.
Higher Mathematics and one of the following- Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Physics or VCE Units 3 and 4 - one of Physical Education, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics Methods (CAS), Specialist Mathematics or Physics.
Exercise prescription, management and reconditioning, sport science and coaching, exercise for health and disability and community physical recreation is studied as major concept in this course .
Student must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 65%. For information on international qualifications and corresponding entry requirements that are equivalent to an Australian Year 12, see the Entry requirements by country web page. Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.
While the course accreditation application is under consideration, students may apply for membership of ESSA through the individual application process. ESSA(Exercise and Sport Science Australia) is a professional organization committed to establish, promote and support the career paths of tertiary-trained exercise and sport science practitioners.Graduates who complete a NUCAP-accredited postgraduate qualification can become accredited exercise physiologists through ESSA.
Graduates have been employed in a range of sport and exercise settings, including elite sport, health and fitness, recreation, rehabilitation and disability.
3 years full-time, International student visa holders can only study full-time.
