Through this program, Student will gain a professional qualification that will prepare student to gain knowledge in diagnostic pathology. Student will be immersed in the major disciplines of laboratory medicine. As a graduate, Student will be well placed for employment as a medical scientist in hospitals and diagnostic pathology laboratories.This program is suitable for those who have graduated from biomedical science programs or general science programs that have a biological science focus.

Development of high-level skills in analysis and knowledge integration relevant to area of specialisation is involves as major concept of study.
Completion of an Australian bachelor degree or equivalent in science or applied science with major studies in either biological sciences, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, pathology, or an approved alternative area.
After completing graduation, Graduates get job as medical scientist in diagnostic pathology or in medical research. Medical scientists work in hospital laboratories, private pathology laboratories, state health laboratories and universities. In larger hospitals and private laboratories, medical scientists usually specialize in one of the professional disciplines.
