This Master of Applied Science (Psychology and Disability) by Research program combines the research areas of disability and psychology.Disability studies. Master and PhD supervision is offered in the following areas of disability:forensic issues, parental training, staffing, program evaluation, empowerment, ethics, advocacy , quality of life. Psychology :- Research supervision can be offered in a range of areas in applied psychology. Student is encouraged to see our School of Health Sciences website for up-to-date information on staff research activities, supervisor availability and current and proposed research projects that might accommodate higher degree by research involvement.
One of the following: Successful completion of an Australian Masters by Research degree or equivalent, Successful completion of an Australian Masters by Coursework degree or equivalent WITH a research component graded as a distinction (GPA of 3.00 out of
Entry into a Research program at RMIT is not based solely on academic achievement and applicants must meet the following minimum academic requirements to be considered for candidature.
Psychology:- Student will be eligible for membership of the Australian Psychological Society. However, to practice as a professional psychologist student need to complete certain professional training requirements.
Graduates are employed in a range of academic, research and high-level professional settings.
