RMIT University

Our School of Applied Sciences occupies new, purpose-built and well-equipped facilities, where a wide range of analytical instrumentation is available for research, teaching and consultancy work. We are composed of a large group of research staff and students. We have demonstrated success in collaborations, funding and research publications. Our research is done in modern and dedicated laboratories where major research directions are allocated their own areas. These major research directions are: Materials chemistry - microtechnologies, inorganic, catalysts, organic synthesis, functional surfaces and polymer science , Environmental and analytical science - Gippsland Lakes Catchment Authority, separation science, occupational health and safety. Our expertise in molecular modelling and chemometrics has found applications to span these main research fields. Significant research organisations regard our research graduates as highly employable.
