This program provides appropriate training for physicists involved with radiotherapy, diagnostic medical procedure and health physics. In this course students will do a research project resulting in a thesis, which will comprise two-thirds of program load. Coursework will take up the remaining third. Student should contact the Program Coordinator or Study Excel counselor to discuss eligibility, and research project ideas.

In this course the major studies include development of skills related to radiotherapy, diagnostic medical procedure and health physics.
All Master applicants must have at least one of the following:a first degree from RMIT with at least a credit average in the final undergraduate year, a recognised award deemed to be equivalent in character and standard to a first degree from RMIT with at least a credit average in the final undergraduate year, evidence of appropriate experience that satisfies the college/school that the applicant has developed knowledge of the field of study sufficient to undertake the proposed program.
This program is accredited by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine as an approved university postgraduate program in medical physics.
2 years full-time or 4 years part-time, International student visa holders can only study full-time.
